June 26th 2026 we celebrated World Refrigeration Day® – World Heatpumps Day

WAVE is proud to support for the third year running.

This year’s theme, #CoolIntelligence,” feels especially relevant.

At a time when the UK is experiencing record-breaking temperatures, it is an important reminder of the vital role our industry plays.

Refrigeration, HVAC and heat pump systems are critical infrastructure.

They quietly protect our food, support manufacturing, safeguard temperature-critical environments, improve comfort and help businesses and communities operate safely and efficiently.

Yet ‘Cool Intelligence’ is about far more than technology.

It starts with people.

Before the controls, the data or the design calculations, there are conversations.
Understanding what a site really needs, what a client is trying to achieve, and how every engineering decision will influence performance, energy use, cost, carbon and people over the lifetime of a system.
